Google Workspace + eCardWidget

Google Workspace SSO for one-click sign-in with the Google accounts your team already uses, plus directory sync so your recognition program mirrors your Google directory.

What you unlock

SSO and SCIM directory sync with Google Workspace

One-click sign-in

Admins sign in with the identity they already have — no separate eCardWidget password to manage or reset.

Self-maintaining directory

Joiners, movers, and leavers flow from your IdP into the recognition directory automatically.

Automations always aimed right

Synced birthdays and hire dates feed birthday and anniversary automations — no stale spreadsheet dates.

Why it works

Pair Google Workspace with eCardWidget

For Google-first teams, one more password is one too many. With Google Workspace SSO your admins sign in with their Google account, and directory sync keeps team members, birthdays, and anniversaries flowing into your automations without CSV exports.

Protocol: OpenID Connect (authorization-code + PKCE) · Provisioning: SCIM 2.0 · How eCardWidget SSO & directory sync works

Example use case

The office manager adds a new teammate to Google Workspace → they appear in the eCardWidget directory with their start date → the welcome-aboard automation sends a signed card their first morning.

Directory chores: zero.

Frequently asked

Google Workspace + eCardWidget questions

Does Google Workspace SSO use SAML?

No — eCardWidget connects to Google via OpenID Connect, which Google supports natively. No SAML app configuration is needed (or supported).

Which Google accounts can sign in?

Accounts on the email domain you've verified with eCardWidget. The email claim in the sign-in token must match your registered domain — personal Gmail accounts won't get in.

Can we still use CSV import?

Yes. CSV import stays available on every plan; SSO/SCIM simply removes the manual upkeep for Enterprise teams.

Which plan do I need?

SSO and directory sync are available on the Enterprise plan.
